Well...it's a cross-combination of many things that lead to why i like the Capitals. First off, i pretty much like most of the D.C. area pro-sports teams (not so much the Redskins, but i do like Donovan McNabb as a player) as 4 baseball, i like the Pirates first, Nationals second (Strasburg!!
),...i also like the Washington Wizards NBA team, also. Now, of course that doesn't mean i have to like the Capitals, but i just love the entire D.C. area. Now back to the Capitals team, i personally love the way Ovechkin plays the game (although u'll probably say he plays dirty). To me his style of play is exciting nonetheless. My favorite WSH Capital is probably Nicklas Backstrom anyway. Jose Theodore (who they don't have anymore) was my favorite goalie back around '02 when he was w/ Montreal & won a MVP. Him coming to WSH really led me to like them. Now, be4 they had Theo, they had Ollie Kolzig who was just an amazing goalie & another of my favorites. I've never liked Jaromir Jagr so even when he came to WSH i didn't like him. I personally think Ted Leonsis is one of the most fan-friendly owners in the NHL & he works hard to put a great product on the ice...those r just a few reasons @ the moment i can think of as to why i'm a Caps fan.
